It's official....I have 10 of the palette-knife paintings in the Rutledge Street Gallery in Camden, South Carolina...  Thanks to my sister, Wendy, for the idea of doing these paintings....and to my friend Natalie Italiano, who actually suggested that I do this earlier....but  I just wasn't ready!!!

  4. Hi Cliff,
    this is my palette that I have used for over 30 years. I was introduced to it by Nike Parton of Sarasot, Florida, who I think went to school with Henry Hensche at the Ringling School of Art. At any rate she knew him. She had stories about him, I like the one about how his fellow classmates would carry him off to the bath....
    These are with the palette knife, the ones that you are referring to....I LOVE the palette knife. If using a brush, mix a good pile of the painting that you need and then load the brush up with that pile. When laying on the paint, do not scrub, lay it on in one direction. Where edges meet make sure that you cut one of the colors in front of another....hey! good idea for a video!!!!
